voyage kitchen – sorrento

Looking over the wide, blue Indian Ocean (albeit over West Coast Drive), Voyage Kitchen is unpretentious, has adorable in-house baked cakes and genuine, friendly service.

Left: Hot chocolate in a bowl. Right: Orange poppy seed cake.

Raspberry chocolate pudding – oh my god.
It’s a beautiful spot for coffee and cake – the raspberry and chocolate pudding was delicious. Hot, speckled with juicy raspberries and with a buttery dollop of cream, it was gorgeously decadent. We also had the orange poppy seed cake, which was sweet and citrusy. Both cakes came from the drool worthy, extra large display case by the counter.
Voyage is a busy place – bursting at the seams in fact, by late lunch-goers and coffee aficionados. But somehow the attention to detail keeps the place quaint.
Little blueberries on a ring cake, the pops of orange and fresh blooms makes a magnetic, relaxing combination, which with a good magazine, is the definition of a perfect Sunday afternoon. We’ll definitely be back for lunch some day soon…

Oh, their coffee is amazing. Voyage has been a regular little place for us to go for a few years now. Many a takeaway coffee has been consumed over by the beach. Yum.

bruisemouse – Apologies for the delay in replying! Ah yes, their coffee is indeed very good. Time to head back while the sunny days are still hanging around. Thanks for popping by again :D
Woah! That chocolate pudding looks incredible – the goo pouring out of it makes my mouth water! Awesome find!
